<itunes:subtitle>We know what you must be thinking, no podcast in December and now the March edition is missing, how sketchy is Chris Lake?</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>We know what you must be thinking, no podcast in December and now the March edition is missing, how sketchy is Chris Lake? Well, in his defense, when he left London six weeks ago to start his debut album tour of North America, he had the very best intentions. Sound cards were packed, the mic was in the hand-luggage and soundcards safely stowed away... or so we thought. Within twelve hours of arriving in land of peace and bohemian safe-haven San Francisco, his portable studio was gone. So, whilst travelling the territory he's been picking up bits and pieces as he's gone along, and now, with great pleasure we announce the April edition for your listening pleasure.

Top 5:
5. Sour Grapes - Kharma [Televizion]
4. Wolfgang Gartner and Francis Preve - Yin [Toolroom]
3. Axwell, Ingrosso, Angello and Laidback Luke feat Deborah Cox - Leave the world behind [Axtone Records]
2. Sebastien Drums and Tom Geiss and Eric G - Funky Beep (Dub mix) [Work Machine]
1. Prok and Fitch vs Filthy Rich - Naga [Cr2]

More tunes:
TJ Cases ft J-Key - Hard Cash (TJ Cases main dub) [Cut House Records]
Kim Jofferey and Natalie Konan - Take me there (Chris Kaeser Dub) [Carbon14]

From the iPod:
La Roux - In for the kill (lifelike remix) [Kitsune Music]</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>The second podcast edition of 2009 see's Chris revert back to some of the sounds for which he is best known; straight-up deep house and electro. His Top 5 is made of artists; Pryda, a man called Dr.Kucho, FLG, Patric La Funk, and out on Rising Music we have Alex Fain's 'Aurora Borealis'. The rest of the episode is suitably up-tempo and at times quite dark, finishing off with a true classic from the recently reformed Prodigy. This may not be everybody's bag, but for those who like it a bit grim and very dirty, turn it up!

Top 5:
5. Patric La Funk - Restless (Norman Zube A Mix) [Opaque]
4. Alex Fain - Aurora Borealis [Rising Music]
3. Dr.Kucho - Patricia never leaves the house (Dr.Kucho 2009 mix) [Disc Doctor]
2. Pryda - Miami to Atlanta [Pryda]
1. FLG - Amplifier [Toolroom]

AFTC - Tell U Y (Chris Lake remix) [Strictly Rhythm]
Scope - Strung out (2009 mix) [Urban Torque]
Neighbour - Kolour Jam [Super Hi-Fi]
Laidback Luke and A-Trak - Shake it down [Mixmash]
David Keno - Discoteca [Kindisch]
Mark Mendes - Anzu [Starter Records]
Baboop - Yes we can [Abysoma]

Tune from the iPod:
Prodigy - Climbatize [XL]</itunes:summary>

<itunes:subtitle>Happy new year everyone!</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>Happy new year everyone!

So we missed an edition in December... we're really very sorry, especially Chris Late. To make up for it he's given us his longest podcast to date; packed with a diverse selection of tunes and his first foray into the world of Drum 'n' Bass. Then there's the big one... we at Rising Music don't like brag too much, but 'If You Knew' feat. Nastala has taken the numero uno spot in the Buzz, Cool Cuts and Music Week charts; it entered MTV Dance's Essential New Tracks at #4 with a playlist-add to follow. Last but not least, support has come in strong from the BBC with Tong, the lovely Sarah Cox and Scott Mills all supporting the record. Which indecently Happy days and happy listening!

Top 5:
5. Pitto - Feelin [Rejected]
4. Steve smooth - Stay (John Dahlback remix) [Ultra]
3. Stupid Fresh - Controversy [white]
2. Beni - My love sees you [Kitsune]
1. Thomas Schumacher - Picanha [Get Digital music]

Out on Rising this February:
Chris Lake ft. Nastala - If you knew [Rising]

Also look out for these:
Noisia - B.R.U.L. [Division]
Matthew Bandy - Derty Werk (Asad's reverb rerub) [Reverberations]
Rogues - Not so pretty (Feed me remix) [unknown]
Taurus and Vaggeli - Does it hurt [Vacation]
Dirty South - D10 [Viscious Vinyl]
Hideo Kobayashi - Chikuma [Apt.]
Golden Girls - Kinetic (ATFC remix) [Floorplay]
Rodriguez Jr. - Pina Colada [Mothership]
Tigerstripes and Audiofly - Hundra [unknown]
Jeff Bennett - Cirrus (Unicus remix) [Deeper Dimensions]

From the iPod:
Gorge - Nyota [8bit]
Arno Gonzalez - My link to the past (Droido remix) [Massive Music]</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Podcast 005 swings between techie tinged electro and simple deep grooves - two sounds Chris is well known for, both in and out of the studio. His Top 5 begins with a squelchy number from Mr Oizo, followed by ZZT's 'The Worm'.. if you haven't already, get on YouTube and watch the video, it's like a David Attenborough show in super-speed. Next in comes Crazy P's funked up 'Disc Odyssey' and a Tim Weeks remix of 'Restless', out on Opaque. Sitting at the top of Chris' list is Riva Starr with the appropriately titled 'Squash' - you'll see what we mean.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Chris delivers Podcast 004; ever so slightly lighter than last month, but suitably moody for the dark winter nights ahead. As expected, the Top 5 sets an early standard with new releases from the likes of Proxy and Deadmau5 to get you going. On Rising Music, we offer up Chris' remix of the hugely talented Sia... an artist he quoted as being: "the greatest live vocalist I've ever seen"; but also the well-anticipated release of 'Reward is MORE cheese'. We get Sebastien Leger on the phone to discuss Irish clubbers, South American culture and a new collaboration with Eric Prydz.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>This month sees Chris take a slightly darker direction in his choices. Starting with his top five, he sets an early groove before moving into the Chris Lake Remixed E.P. This latest release sees Rene Amesz and Adam Shaw give their interpretations of Chris' unreleased track 'Deadline', Rudi Stakker remixing 'Release' and Mastiksoul's tribal reworking of the summer smash 'Only One'. Chris moves into deeper territory with Strimmer's 'The Anger' and a great new release on Subliminal. To wrap things up you'll hear the first track off Trentmoller's 2006 album, which when asked how it could be defined, Chris looked up for inspiration and simply said: "it's a journey". Happy listening people.</itunes:summary>
